We are happy to help

Feeling curious or looking for interesting facts?
Here you will find answers to all sorts of possible questions!

What is available on each bed?

A mattress and a pillow are provided on each bed. You will need to bring your own fitted sheet, pillowcase and sleeping bag.

Does each room have a private bathroom?

In Zeekoet, Stern, Kokmeeuw and Duinpieper, each room has its own shower, toilet and washbasin. Strandloper and Alk have shared shower cubicles available.

When can we access the rooms?

You can enter the building from 15:00. If the building is ready earlier, we can grant access earlier, but this is not guaranteed. So please take this into account in your planning.

Is there enough space on the domain to organise own activities?

Absolutely! There is plenty of space on the estate to organise your own activities. You can make full use of the space and gardens surrounding the buildings. There is more than enough space available for any group staying at Horizon. These lawns are freely accessible to all Horizon guests.

Are pets allowed on the property?

No, pets are not allowed on our domain.

Are campfires allowed?

No, it is not allowed to use a campfire or fire basket on the property for fire safety reasons.

Do we have to share our building with another group?

No, that's not necessary. At Horizon, each group has its own building and facilities, which means you don't have to share rooms with other groups. You enjoy complete exclusivity during your stay. Only in Stern can the first floor be closed off from the ground floor. Here there are separate outside doors for each group, so you don't have to go through another group's building.

At what time do we have to leave the building?

On the day of departure, we ask that the rooms be emptied in the morning, this can be at 9am or 10am.
You can still use the hall and the kitchen (in case of self-catering) until 2pm.
We ask you to leave our domain by 2pm at the latest.
